Ways to tell what hat you are wearing…

So much debate over this black hat crap again now that the SMX “give it up” session has been released.  I just figured I would help everyone out and make some ways to tell if you should consider yourself a “black hat seo”.

• If you ask for links - You are a black hat
• If you buy or sell links - You are a black hat
• If you have a social media profile that is not your own - You are a black hat
• If you sat in on the “SMX Give it up session” - You are a black hat
• If you have ever left a comment in a blog, then said your name was something other then your real name - You are a black hat
• If you are on twitter - You are a black hat
• If you are also on plurk - You have to much time on your hands & you are a black hat
• If you have ever tried to see if you could buy a miss-spelling of “google.com” - You are a black hat
• If you are reading this blog - You are awesome & a black hat
• If you use any kind of 302 redirect - You are a black hat
• If you own a black hat -You are a black hat
• If you have anything to do with affiliate marketing - You are a black hat
• If you call yourself an SEO -You are a black hat
• If you put miss-spellings in Meta Tags - You are a black hat
• If you own a website - You are a black hat
• If own a blog - You are a black hat
