Pyramid advertising goes web 2.0

by Michael on September 18, 2007

So the other day while dosing off into stumble, yes I am fully addicted having to randomly click stumble! at least every 5 minutes or I begin to get antsy, I found a site with just a simple link.  “Click here to get a moola invite”

I always do what links tell me to do, so I clicked it. But the invites had run out!  So I was on a new mission, I MUST be invited into moola!

I went directly to the site, which is posted as not yet open to the public but accepting “Beta Testers”  (as all web 2.0 sites are), So I filled out a quick form and was told I would be sent an invite when the system could handle more users and the site was ready for the next wave of beta testers. But there was no guarantee I would be selected.

Patiently I waited.  Could it be days? Months?  Years?????

Still not sure what this site was, it had me hooked!  I needed to get in!  The promise of winning large amounts of cash was just to much for me to handle!

Finally, 3 minutes later moola was ready for the next round of beta testers & I was one of them! (I guess my timing was good.)

I was in, after sitting through a flash video explaining how moola was giving me a penny to begin my conquest for the grand prize of $10,737,418.24, I was ready to play!  So I get into my dashboard area to find I have 3 invites, a penny & a chance to win the daily prize of $36,000.  I quickly jumped to my invites and sent 3 out; one to my brother-in-law,  one to my wife & one to a family friend.  Each of which spend good amounts of time on the internet and I was positive would enjoy the site!  Not to mention the fact I get a percentage of their winnings,  a percentage of the winnings of people they invite & a percentage of the winnings that those people invite also. (Enter your classic pyramid scheme)

So I decided to wager my penny, choosing from one of3 games; High-Low, Rocks Paper Scissors or Gold-Rush.  I decided to try my luck at R.P.S.

I selected the game and was ready to play; but wait.  I first had to sit through a video commercial; for priceline. Patiently I waited and watched the “priceline negotiator” for 45 seconds.  Now I was ready, but wait again; I had to answer a question regarding the commercial I just sat through!
(Lets just say the add paid moola $.30 for me watching it, not to shabby on giving me a whole penny!)

The game began, I was matched up against another moola player who was also risking their penny in the hopes of making 2.  After the best of 6 I was crowned victorious!  My account now had 2 penny’s in it!!!!!

What to do?  Cash out & have moola mail me a check for 2 cents or risk it all and go for 4 cents???

LET IT RIDE!

I selected to play R.P.S. again, this time risking my 2 in hopes of making 4.

Ahh, another video commercial; verizon & another question regarding the video.  More cash in moola’s pocket.

I played R.P.S. diligently, using all of the skills I had learned in my youth.  But it was to no avail, I had been defeated.  I had lost both my penny’s to my opponent.  I know felt my moola days were over, I was back to working my normal day job. The moola god’s smiled at me & decided to grant me another free penny, as long as I sat through another video ad and answered the question correctly.

But how else could I get rich on the moola train?  I went to see what the “Booster” section had to offer.  There I found a list of affiliates; moola would actually pay me for signing up for there services or for buying there products, even better was moola’s search! Where I had the chance of winning $32000.00  from just conducting my normal web searches on moola!

I have found my moola experience to be a great one; currently i have $0.64 cents in my account, I have watched over 30 video ad’s, conducted 100 searches & signed up for 4 moola affiliates.

But with my $0.64 I am still the one who is making out in this deal!

Dear streko,

Moola has just increased your Invitation Allowance.
Now you can invite more friends to Moola, and earn serious cash when your friends or their friends shop through Moola, get Boosters and cash out.

To see how many people you may invite at any given time:
Simply refer to your ‘user bar’ near the top of every page of the Moola.com website. This is where all personal information can be viewed, including how many new invitations are available for you to send to others.

To send new invitations:
Click on the “Invite(s)” link on the user bar, or send invitations straight from the homepage under “Your Referral Network”. Either will take you directly to your full Referral Summary where you will be able to send new invitations, and monitor your Active Referral Network in real time.

Remember:
Moola’s Referral Program pays you bonuses based on the Boosters and cash outs of your Active Referral Network - the friends that you invite, the friends that they invite, and so on (up to four ‘levels’ deep). If you are new to Moola, visit the “Complete Instructions” link under the Referral Program menu to find out how you can start earning serious cash from hundreds or thousands of people just by inviting a few friends!

Good luck!

Moola Referral Team
